Boat Name Sail No Owner Home History ImageErotic T4215 Sam Edwards, Greg Wagstaff Wellington Built by Nick Olson 2005. The association now own the E5.9 mould and with the growth of the class over the last few years Sam and Greg thought that by building a new boat this may attract further members as there are currently very few class boats being built in NZ. This is the sixth boat that has been owned by the crew of Erotic, having previously owned or been part of Brzo, Hobo , Crowed House, Lambada, and Must be Mad. (History by Keith Hogan)Animal Crackers T4032 Ripon-bye T3456 Andrew Husheer ,Chris Ferguson Ripon-Bye was brought from Pete Woods in Ashburton in June 06 by Andrew Husheer and Chris Ferguson from Queenstown. Currently under going a refit. Recently fitted with a new center board/ bulb & mast will have new set of sails for up & coming season, any history on this boat would be apprciated (Peter Woods)
The boat lived in Te Anau for quite a few years Can't remember the guys name other than his nick name - which was "Golly" who I brought the boat off. At that time, it was called "Apostle 2" - I purchased it and renamed it to "Rippon-Bye". It was raced extensively in Southland based at Bluff Yacht Club - including Te Anaua and Queenstown and had a good race record (3rd National Trailer Yacht Champs at Lake Avimore - and often in the top 3 - 4 in most local regattas. so it does perform. The boat was in storage for around 5 years as I shot off to do a wee bit of sailing and ended up sailing for a number of years (original 8 month trip turned into 3 years full time sailing and another couple in the UK. I came back in February 2004 and sold it to Sam in Te Anau (Sean Baker)

Eagle T4095 Chris Hansen Queenstown Relocated to Queenstown from Auckland in 2005. We have been sailing it regularly in Wakatipu Yacht Club events against other Trailer Yachts this summer.
Growler T3499 Andrew Bary Queenstown It is a 100% glass boat, possibly originally (or at some stage) called "White Lines". The boat is in Queenstown, once the home of at least four 5.9's. Recently, Growler has been the only 5.9 out and about. The former Brown brother's Queenstown Real Estate has had a re-fit and last I heard was for sale. I hear through the rumour mill that there may be another 5.9 in town. If anyone has any info on Growler, I would appreciate a history lesson. (History by Andrew Bary)
